Handling Party Planning Mistakes

Parties, like life, are rarely perfect.  I can’t speak for all event planners but I think it safe to say that most parties have some slip-up or goof-up that happens.  It can be almost impossible to make everything and everyone all line-up and work perfectly.  Life just doesn’t work like that and neither do parties.

I like to go into planning a party with the mentality that I will plan and organize as best as my ability but accept that it may not be absolutely perfect.  Think positive, but prepare for something to go wrong.

So if there is a good likely hood that something (hopefully small) will go wrong, prepare yourself for that possibility.    That way when something happens you can deal with it like a pro.    Disguise it, hide it, fix it or just  laugh and go with it.

I will share with you my party planning mistakes and how I dealt with them.  I hope you’ll learn:

  • from my mistakes so you don’t make the same ones
  • how to deal with your own when they arise

As I share, my party planning mistakes, please feel free to share yours.  We can all learn from each other and I welcome your stories.
